At Blossoming Bump, we offer a range of supportive antenatal and postnatal education classes designed to prepare and empower you through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Our classes focus on practical, evidence-based information to help you feel confident and informed as you approach labour, delivery, and life with a newborn. Each education class is designed to provide guidance, reassurance, and hands-on strategies in a welcoming and supportive environment.

LABOUR & BIRTH

Feeling ready for birth starts with understanding what to expect. Our evidence-based Labour & Birth Class is designed to prepare you and your support person for one of life’s most important moments.

In this 2-hour session, we cover everything you need to know, including the stages of labour, pain relief options, your support person’s role, optimal birth positions, what happens with the placenta, skin-to-skin contact, and how to support perineal health. We also discuss hospital communication, delayed cord clamping, and what to expect in different birth scenarios.

Led by our experienced midwives, this class combines practical information with reassurance. We believe that knowledge reduces anxiety and helps you feel more confident, calm, and in control during labour.

LABOUR & BIRTH PREPARATION

Prepare for birth with calm, confidence, and personalised support in our exclusive 1:1 Labour & Birth Session.

Designed for expectant mothers who value individualised care and a more intimate learning experience, this private consultation offers dedicated time with an experienced midwife to help you feel deeply informed, supported, and ready for birth.

In this tailored 3-hour session, we guide you and your chosen support person through every stage of labour and birth in a relaxed, nurturing environment. Together, we explore your preferences, answer your questions, and provide evidence-based education personalised to your unique pregnancy and birth goals.

Topics include the stages of labour, pain relief and comfort techniques, birth positioning, partner support, hospital communication, physiological birth principles, caesarean birth scenarios, delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin contact, and immediate postpartum recovery.

More than just education, this session is designed to help you feel grounded, reassured, and empowered as you approach birth.

CRASH COURSE

As you approach your due date, preparation is everything. Our comprehensive Third Trimester Crash Course is an intensive 5-hour session designed to equip you and your support person with everything you need to know for labour, birth, and those first precious days.

This in-depth class goes beyond the basics. We cover the full picture of late pregnancy, recognising labour signs, communicating with your hospital, packing your hospital bag effectively, and what to expect when you arrive. You’ll leave feeling confident, informed, and genuinely prepared for what’s ahead.

What you’ll learn:

  • Changes in the third trimester and what’s normal

  • Recognising true labour signs vs. false alarms

  • When and how to call your hospital

  • What to pack in your hospital bag (and why)

  • Pain relief options and comfort measures

FREE BREASTFEEDING WORKSHOP

Breastfeeding is a beautiful journey, and starting well makes all the difference. Our Free Breastfeeding Workshop is designed to prepare you during pregnancy and set you up for success from day one.

In this 1.5-hour session, our experienced midwives cover the essentials, including how to collect colostrum before baby arrives, the benefits of breastfeeding for both you and your baby, and the practical skills of positioning and attachment. We believe that knowledge and confidence go hand in hand, and this workshop provides both.

What you’ll learn:

  • Antenatal colostrum collection and why it matters

  • Benefits of breastfeeding for mum and baby

  • Correct positioning and latch techniques

  • What to expect in the first days

  • Common questions and concerns answered

PREGNANCY YOGA

Pregnancy is a time of transformation—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our weekly Pregnancy Yoga class is a safe, nurturing space to connect with your body, prepare for birth, and find calm during this special time.

Led by a qualified pregnancy yoga instructor, each 1-hour session is tailored to support you through every trimester. We focus on gentle movement, breathing techniques, and mindfulness to ease pregnancy discomfort, build strength where you need it, and help you feel grounded and present.

Whether you’re newly pregnant or in your final weeks, this class meets you where you are—no experience necessary.

What you’ll get:

  • Gentle stretches and poses safe for pregnancy

  • Breathing and relaxation techniques

  • Pelvic floor awareness and strength

  • Connection with other pregnant women

  • Tools to ease pregnancy discomfort
